ARREST AND CONVICTION OF A SERIAL THIEF

PRESS RELEASE: ARREST AND CONVICTION OF A SERIAL THIEF A serial thief has been sentenced today, Monday the 5th of December 2022, to one year imprisonment by a Chief Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan. The male convict, one Damilare Gbolahan, was apprehended by vigilant officers of Man O’War Nigeria, Oyo State Command of the organisation on 3rd December 2022 around 8am. He was accosted by the Man O’ War officers who observed him with a pumping machine he had made away with from the premises of the St. Mary Catholic Hospital, Eleta. On sighting the men, he made for the nooks of the surrounding area from where he was eventually arrested. The suspect was immediately handed over to the Idi-Aro Divisional Police Headquarters, Eleta for prosecution. It is worthy of note that the same individual was released on 13th July of this year after he was detained on 6th June in a case of theft of an equipment. He had pleaded for mercy and confessed to be a changed person before he was released then. The State Commander, Alh. Yekeen Lukman commended the Area Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Man O’ War Tijani Afeez and the entire members of the organisation in Ibadan South-East for a job well done. He then thanked the officers and men of Idi-Aro Divisional Headquarters for springing into action and making sure the culprit was brought to book when he was handed over to them. The Commander assured all security agencies in Oyo State of the commitment of Man O’ War Nigeria in collaborating with them towards a reduction in crime rates in all the 33 Local Government areas of the State where members of the organisation operates.
